Spring Color Trends

Interior inspiration is all around us with the start of a new season! Fashion, flowers, fruit…If you feel your home needs a mood boost to pair with the warm weather and longer days, all you may need is a new coat of paint. For some odd reason, paint seems to be one of the most daunting choices people make in their homes. In reality, it is one of the most cost effective ways to make an instant mood change—and if you don’t like the end result, it can be easily fixed. I took a cue from spring fashion and created a few paint schemes that will add depth and interest to any drab wall.

Layering different shades and tints of nude colors will make for a dynamic, interesting end result. This may be perfect if you are shy of color, however choosing just one nude will be boring at best. The variety of shade creates visual movement when different colors are used on adjacent walls.

For those of you who are daring and looking for a splash of spring on your walls, look no further! These two complimentary color schemes are full of life and interest. Use bold colors as accents or as a single focal point in a room. These colors work together as a pair; too much of one will overpower the other. Remember the rules of proportion when working with these delightful (yet powerful) colors.
