Happy New Year,
At the close of 2013 and the beginning of 2014, we take some time to reflect on the positives of the holiday season as well as the excitement of a new year. On a personal note, I enjoyed time with family this Christmas--all three kids and their families were home. We loved experiencing what the Durango area has to offer. The spring time temperatures coupled with excellent snow conditions made this a memorable Holiday. Christmas Day at Durango Mountain Resort proved to be spectacular, and cross country skiing on Molas Pass was beyond compare. Multiple times I thought about how grateful I am to call Durango home.
From a real estate perspective, our team looks forward to upcoming changes. The new Durango Team partnership with Max Hutcheson creates an exciting start to the year.
The Consumer Confidence Index had a 6%
growth in December, which was above expectation. This indicates positive
growth towards the labor market and economy, and historically, this correlates
to the real estate market, as increased consumer confidence impacts real
estate buying decisions.
