Winter Reprieve on Its Way

The holidays are over, most of us are dieting, and it is unusually warm in the coldest month of the year. Even with the nice weather we have had lately, a break from the cold and routine is always welcome. For years, Snowdown has provided just that break. Started in 1979 to break the monotony of winter, it is five full days of festivities. The activities all follow a particular theme. This year, “Safari So Good” promises to be a wild time from January 29-February 2. From wing and donut eating contests to meals and games, the week is full of fun and excitement.

The culmination for many is the Snowdown light parade down Main Street. Over the years, we have loved coming to the Parade on Friday night. We stand in front of the Wells Group office at 9th and Main, which offers the perfect spot to see the floats. All bundled up for the cold, the excitement makes the parade a blast.

We are looking forward to the fun over Snowdown week. What a great opportunity to take a break and enjoy some variety! We hope you and your family have a great time participating in the Snowdown events, and we hope to see you at the parade on Friday night!
